Prayer Ministries

Built On Prayer

Inspired by Matthew 21:13, the North Carolina Conference of the Global Methodist Church is dedicated to making every congregation a vibrant house of prayer. Led by the Holy Spirit and rooted in scripture, our Prayer Stirring Team is seeking God’s guidance to fulfill this vision. We invite you to join us in this sacred mission to deepen prayer across our conference, our churches, and in our communities.

Join The Team

Grounded in our Wesleyan heritage, we are building a prayer network to strengthen our churches. This network includes district prayer leaders, circle prayer leaders, local church prayer teams, and every member of our individual congregations. Our goal is for every local church to have a Prayer Point Person, a liaison connecting local churches to district prayer initiatives.

Four Key Areas of Prayer

  1. Prayer Sought: We seek to make prayer a core spiritual practice for all clergy and laity in our conference.
  2. Prayer Taught: We aim to teach prayer at every level through resources, seminars, retreats, and more to help everyone grow in their prayer life.
  3. Prayer Spoken: We encourage individuals and congregations to share powerful testimonies of how God moves through prayer.
  4. Prayer Seen: We desire prayer to be a visible part of worship at every level, from annual conference gatherings to local church meetings and special events. Let prayer shine in all we do!

Evangelism

The North Carolina Conference of the Global Methodist Church is committed to equipping every congregation to boldly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Guided by the Holy Spirit and rooted in our Wesleyan call to create disciples who spread scriptural holiness, we’re passionate about spreading the Gospel to every corner of the Earth.

Pray & Go

Pray & Go, a 30-day devotional by Thom S. Rainer, equips Christians to share the Gospel through prayer and action. It offers daily focus topics and manageable projects, emphasizing prayer for pastors, unity, reconciliation, and unsaved individuals. It encourages bold evangelism, is simple, accessible, and aims to foster an outward focused, prayerful church culture that aligns with Jesus’ great commission.

The Global Methodist Church has partnered with the International Leadership Institute and we are starting to host trainings in North Carolina. The International Leadership Institute focuses on evangelism and discipleship through the lens of eight core values: Intimacy, Passion, Vision, Evangelism, Multiplication, Family, Stewardship, and Integrity.
